Volunteer Programs

We currently have two volunteer programs that are run by New York Cares at Coler Hospital.  The first is a weekly variety night in which volunteers serve food and play games with the patients, and the second program is a computer training program that pairs volunteers with patients to teach computer basics and specific programs of interest to the individuals who participate.

We have also benefited from the generosity of corporate volunteers, including the staff of iNDEMAND in Hudson Square, NYC. As part of their annual volunteer day in May 2018, a group of 15 coworkers assembled 200 hygiene kits with toiletries and handmade greeting cards to be distributed at Coler Hospital.
