A Day of Care and Connection: Spa Day at Coler

On June 25, 2024, Angelica Programs hosted a Spa Day at Coler Hospital, bringing warmth, relaxation, and human connection to residents through an afternoon of pampering and joy.

In partnership with Fusion Salon, a beloved local barbershop on Roosevelt Island, and volunteers from FreedomCare, residents were treated to haircuts, grooming, hand massages, and personal care services — all offered with genuine smiles and attentive care.

The event transformed Coler’s community room into a tranquil retreat filled with laughter, conversation, and the soothing sounds of music and care. For many residents, it wasn’t just about looking good — it was about feeling seen, valued, and cared for.

Angelica’s Spa Day exemplifies what our programs are all about: bringing the community together to celebrate humanity, healing, and connection.

Celebrating the Artists and Residents at Coler Hospital

Join us for a special exhibition at the Roosevelt Island Visual Arts Association (RIVAA) as we showcase the creative talents of artists and residents at Coler Hospital, presented by Angelica Patient Assistance Programs (APAP).

About the Exhibition: "Art for Healing" is a celebration of the transformative power of art. This diverse exhibition features paintings, sculptures, mixed media pieces, and poetry created by the talented residents and artists at Coler Hospital. By sharing their artistic expressions, they inspire hope, healing, and community.

Join us for an evening of art, inspiration, and community. The opening reception will feature remarks from APAP and RIVAA representatives, as well as the artists and residents themselves. Admission is free, and all are welcome!
